Breastfeeding Support

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office on Women’s Health (OWH) is raising awareness of the importance of breastfeeding to help mothers give their babies the best start possible in life. OWH also partners with the Health Resources and Services Administration’s Maternal and Child Health Bureau to educate employers about the needs of breastfeeding mothers via The Business Case for Breastfeeding. The Surgeon General’s Call to Action to Support Breastfeeding puts forth steps that family members, communities, clinicians, health care systems, and employers can take to make breastfeeding an easy choice for mothers. Learn more at www.surgeongeneral.gov.

See the Ohio Department of Health’s (ODH) Guides on this page or documents on the right to answer many of your questions about every aspect of breastfeeding.
